World Sound Healing Conference = Day One
Oh, my God. What a day.
There is just way to much to write here at this time = so here are the highlights:
This morning Grand Master Zhi Gang Sha opened the ceremonies with a”Healing Download” for everyone present.
Sound Healing Expert Joshua Leeds was the opening keynote = he gave an overview of the history of Sound Healing, starting with the Big Bang.
There are 59 speakers here in four days = and they have three breakout rooms with world class Sound Healing Experts presenting all day, every day. I would love to see everybody, and of course that’s not possible, and it is really tough choosing who to see and who not to see. I did purchase the entire CD’s of the conference = they also have the DVD’s available as well.
The first breakout session I went to was with “drum circle father” Arthur Hull and Remo Drum Circle presenter Christine Stevens.
The afternoon breakout sessions were also awesome, and I connected with many of the vendors and other presenters and attendees. Too much to write here; look for future posts with more detailed notes and resources for you.
Sound Healing Expert Tom Kenyon was the afternoon keynote presenter = he gave a great presentation, followed by an experiential session for the entire room = playing Tibetan Bowls and toning = it was a transformational experience for many.
I wound up talking to Sound Healing Expert Dr. Jeffrey Thompson for over an hour at his booth, catching up with him. I met Jeff almost 10 years ago, and spent time with him at his office. He told me everything that he’s been doing since 1998, and gave me his research methods (including his heart resonance software and brain EEG stuff) and insights as to how he creates his CD’s. That was awesome. Look for more on Jeff in future posts.
Evening Concert = “Healing the Planet with Sound” = un-freakin-believable. Everyone had 3D glasses! They had big screen projector going the whole time with a Sacred Geometry 3D computer program projecting cool stuff for about three hours during the concert.
Over the course of the evening, there were over 60 musicians on stage, including guitarist Stanley Jordan and his trio, children’s choir and band AO, the world’s largest drum = “Grandmother Drum”, and whole bunch of other people, including Sound Healing Expert Jonathan Goldman emceeing the evening and playing guitar in the giant “jam band” at the end.
As part of the giant jam band at the climax of the evening, there was a woman singing = I swear she sounded just like Chaka Khan = by buddy Jimmy says that he thought she was and angel = and they did a giant new-age >> jazz >> power-pop-rock-ballad version of John Lennon’s “Imagine”. AWESOME.
Post-Concert = I actually had the priviledge of playing the Grandmother Drum with a circle of people for over 30 minutes, chanting and singing and playing. This was a truly special moment for me, and I feel honored to have been a part of this.
Gotta go. Thank you for being here and reading.
